Dear HealthConnect User

Health carrier sales automation solutions, such as online quoting, enrollment, renewals and other functions, provide both a basic advantage and disadvantage for agents. Agents can perform a wide range of functions using these systems and can many times complete transactions through them automatically rather than with paper/fax/manual processes. However, these systems only work for that one carrier.

 

Many agency sales automation solutions, such as ours, similarly provide a basic advantage and disadvantage for agents. Agents can quote and work with multiple carriers through one single system, but often the level of technical integration between systems, such as ours, and the carrier is limited and/or only exists for a small number of carriers. The result is that carriers typically get limited adoption of their sales automation systems and agents frequently re-key data into and manage their client base across multiple systems. In addition, even the basic functions take too long and are quite inefficient. For example, installing a small group case and getting ID cards issued takes 28 days, on average, and frequently require a lot of time from agents, general agents and carriers, resulting in poor customer satisfaction.

 

After a year of addressing the shortcomings listed above and perfecting the details of how to deal with them more effectively, we recently announced a partnership with The TriZetto Group that will help us add significant value for carriers, agents and general agents. The TriZetto Group is the leading provider of core administrative systems for health insurance carriers in the United States, with a significant percentage of health plans using their core admin system. TriZetto had historically provided only selected sales automation tools but was frequently asked by their health plan clients for such solutions. After extensive research and a review of all companies providing sales automation tools for the health insurance industry, TriZetto signed a long term exclusive partnership agreement with us.

 

The primary reason they chose us is because their market research from health plans and agents all said the same thing – carriers need to adopt complete life cycle sales automation solutions but make them available to the broker through a multi-carrier system. As the leading provider of multi-carrier systems in the country and a proven track record of building such systems, we were a logical choice for them. We believe it will allow us to create a complete and seamless integration between our agency system and the core admin system used by carriers. We strongly believe in this vision and believe it will help us bring significant value for our core agent, general agent and carrier clients.

For more than 21 years, Ceridian has helped companies to maximize the power of their employees by integrating work-life services into their clients’ organizations. Their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is integrated with HRConnect, our online HR management tool.

 

Ceridian was the first company in the industry to introduce a fully integrated EAP and Work-Life service, which has also been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), an international, independent, not-for-profit, child-and family-service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization, indicating the highest standard in service quality.

 

Their Employee Assistance Program provides confidential, one-on-one counseling services to employees and their significant others in various areas affecting daily living, including parenting, financial and legal issues and emotional well-being. Do you know how to deploy HRConnect for the group you have already quoted?

 

East Coast:

  • Login to your small group quoting portal.

  • In the main menu, click on the HRConnect/Enrollment link.

  • Select your group from the drop-down menu next to Company field.

  • The screen will refresh and you will have an option to create an HRConnect account using either Quick Deploy option or Complete Deploy option. Select one and click Next. (Quick Deploy option will allow you to quickly set up the account without going into detailed options. Complete Deploy option will guide you through a detailed set-up of HRConnect.)

  • If you selected Complete Deploy:

    • Fill out all the required fields to create an HR administrator and a generic employee account. Click Next.

    • Make any necessary adjustments to the census and then click Next.

    • Select the HRConnect coverage types by checking the appropriate boxes. Click Next.

    • Select which plans you would like to add to HRConnect. Click Next.

    • Select which premium services (payroll, COBRA, EAP, FSA/POP/HRA) you would like to make available for your group by checking the appropriate box. Click Next.

    • Select additional information that you would like to add to HRConnect (important links, calendar, helpful terms, etc.) Click Next.

    • Update the group’s logo, notification and permission preferences by clicking on the links on the right. Once updated, click Next.

    • You will receive confirmation that the HRConnect has been set-up successfully.

    • If you selected the Send welcome email to HR administrator option when setting up HRConnect, your group’s HR administrator will receive an email with the login and password information.

  • If you selected Quick Deploy option:

    • Fill out all the required fields to create an HR administrator and a generic employee account. Click Next.

    • Select which plans you would like to add to HRConnect. Click Next.

    • You will receive confirmation that the HRConnect has been set-up successfully.

    • If you selected the Send welcome email to HR administrator option when setting up HRConnect, your group’s HR administrator will receive an email with the login and password information.

West Coast:

  • Login to your small group quoting portal.

  • Click on the HRConnect/Enrollment link.

  • Select your group from the drop-down menu. The screen will refresh and the Deploy Group button will be selected by default. Click Next.

  • Fill in the company information and click Next.

  • Verify census and administrator information. Click Next.

  • Confirm agency information. Click Next.

  • Select medical and ancillary carriers that you would like to display in HRConnect. Ensure the correct effective and end dates. Click Next.

  • Now select plans for the carriers you selected. Click Next.

  • Enter the policy number for each of the plans you selected. Click Next.

  • Select additional options that you would like to display as tabs in HRConnect, such as enrollment, payroll, COBRA, EAP, etc.

  • HRConnect Initialization Submission page will display. Review the group and employee information and click Next to confirm deployment.

  • Following your deployment, the HR administrator will receive an email with the login and password information.
